ABOUT ME

Welcome!

I’m Caroline, a trained holistic Health Coach, certified by the College of Naturopathic Medicine. I am also an experienced Primary School Teacher with a specialism in Early Years Education and a trained Forest School Leader. I am also a mum of 2 children and am based in South East London.

Over the years I have witnessed in family, friends and colleagues, as well as experienced first hand myself, the impact our current lifestyle can have on our health and wellbeing, particularly as we approach and move through our 40’s. Quite often it is at this time in a woman’s life that the pressures to achieve, to be organised, be successful at work, to be a good parent and partner, as well as looking after oneself becomes completely overwhelming and is a juggle which is virtually impossible to achieve and certainly to maintain. It is also a time when the impact of past health issues begin to take their toll, as well as the body naturally aging with the onset of perimenopause and the menopause. These hormonal changes can bring with them other potential health concerns that women need to be aware of in order to take preventative measures to protect their future health and quality of life. As if this wasn’t enough we are living much more disconnected lives which can result in women feeling alone and unsupported. Knowing how best to take care of our health can be confusing and another thing to become anxious about. This can be compounded if you feel you lack knowledge in areas such as nutrition, exercise and how our bodies work. This can lead women to feel disempowered about their health.

There are many ways in which our health can suffer as a result of our overwhelming lifestyles but the most common issues include poor sleep, stress, burn out, anxiety, low energy, hormonal imbalances and weight gain.

The good news is that you don’t have to feel this way and there are things you can do to change your lifestyle and to improve your health and wellbeing.

It is my goal is to help you achieve whole health in order to live a life full of vitality! However, this doesn’t include strict diets or intense exercise regimes. It doesn’t need to be difficult or feel like a struggle. The key is to approach your health from a holistic perspective which means looking at all aspects of your life, to understand how your mind and body are connected and to get to the root cause of any issues rather than masking them or looking for a quick fix.

It is my belief that we need to connect the mind and body if we are to achieve full health and this ethos underpins my coaching approach with all clients. Combining knowledge of whole foods, connecting to nature, engaging in regular movement and applying mindfulness to our daily lives is essential to optimal physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and is also a powerful tool in the prevention of illness and disease in the body.

Through health coaching I can support you with the following:

Nutrition and meal planning / Movement and exercise / Sleep hygiene / Stress management

Mindset work / Mindfulness / Goal setting

If you would like to make changes to your health and take a more holistic approach to your wellbeing then I may be the coach for you.

MY COACHING APPROACH…

REFLECT

A coaching session will typically begin with a reflective discussion about how you are, how you have been since the last session and how well you feel you have met any goals that were agreed upon.

REVIEW

We then move into a review of your current progress to date and take stock of where you are on your coaching journey. We will explore any issues or questions you have or carry out exercises to help you stay on track and not lose sight of where you are going.

REFINE

We draw together discussions we have had in the session and if appropriate set new goals, refining what you’ve learned and what the next step is on your journey to health and happiness.
